It’s time for the Bicentennial Festival Weekend Spectacular. The North Florida Fair is here. And the Veterans’ Day Parade is on Nov. 11. Plus, we have cooking classes, live music, farmers’ markets, a hurricane benefit concert, an art show and other fun stuff.

Thanksgiving will be here before you know it. But we’re not going to rush the holiday season. Let’s take stock, and stay busy, Tallahassee.

* TALLAHASSEE’S BICENTENNIAL WEEKEND SPECTACULAR: It’s Nov. 9-10 at Cascades Park with the T-Pain concert at the Adderley Amphitheater on Sunday night. Gather at Parkview at Cascades for a full day to commemorate and celebrate our community’s history and culture. Look for presentations, food, live music, entertainers and a heritage walk. * ARTISANS IN THE GARDEN: Stroll around Tallahassee Nurseries while checking out the work of more than 50 artists during the 28th annual art show at the nursery. Food trucks include The Frother’s Daughter, The Cake Shop Bakery and other vendors. The event is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The nursery is at 2911 Thomasville Rd.; 850-385-2162.

* THE 82nd NORTH FLORIDA FAIR: The thrills of the Midway. Cotton candy and corn dogs. Pig races, petting zoo and livestock. Plus more than 100 rides, games, and concessions and attractions such as a transforming car or RoboDog. It’s all part of the fair, which continues through Nov. 17 at the North Florida Fairgrounds, 441 Paul Russell Road. Admission: $10 for ages 13 and up; $7 for ages 6 to 12 and free admission for children 5 and younger. Single ticket rides are 50 cents each. Ticket specials available. * WINE AND SONG: Chanteuse Corine Samwel and the band, Chanson Blue, will be performing European art songs, standard jazz songs, and jazz instrumentals from 7 to 10 p.m. Nov. 9 at the Sound Bar, 1105 W. Tharpe St. FYI, Corine will also be playing at The Wine House on Market Street on Dec. 13.

* MARKET: Stop by our farmers’ markets, where you’ll find a bevy of seasonal produce along with meats, cheese and a wide variety of local products. Check out our guide at https://www.tallahasseetable.comLake/tallahassees…/

* MARKET: You’ll find fresh produce and other food, homemade dishes and crafts at the Downtown Market Tallahassee FL which runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays (March through November) at Park Avenue.

* MARKET: The Southwood Street Market takes place from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Nov. 10 at 3196 Merchants Blvd.

* VETERANS DAY: The parade starts at 10:40 a.m. Monday. The viewing area is South Monroe Street from the intersection of Tennessee Street, a right on Madison Street and ending at Duval Street. * WINE DINNER: The Lucilla Wine Dinner: Pink, Orange & Red takes place at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 12 at 1241 E. Lafayette St. The four-course menu features gorgonzola cheesecake, warm smoked duck roasted root vegetable risotto, wild mushroom and fig stuffed pork tenderloin and blackberry pots de creme with wine pairings. * COOKING CLASS: Learn to make French macarons with Chef Courtney from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 14 at this hands-on cooking class at The Prepared Table, Bannerman Crossings, 3425 Bannerman Rd. 850-354-8352. Cost: $90. Visit https://tptkitchenshop.com/ for a schedule of classes.

* Taylor Swift Dance Party: Dance to the best of the famed performer at 9 p.m. Nov. 15 at Fire Betty’s, 1122 Thomasville Rd.

* COOKIE MOMMAS: Get into the spirit of Christmas when the Cookie Mommas present a hands-on Christmas tree ornament cooking decorating class, with lots of tips, on Dec. 1. Each participant will receive six blank, ornament shaped cookies to design and take home, along with recipes. Cost: $60. The event is from noon to 2 p.m. at Browns Kitchen is at 2551 Capital Circle NE.
